Come to Peru with MLMT and experience life like out of a book.
When to visit?
The dry summer between May and October gets a lot of pleasant days and therefore is the best time to go to Peru. But it is the peak season so you must book in advance. The months of November to March see a lot of rain and January and February are the wettest months. These are pretty great regarding privacy and greenery, and the flight tickets are cheap too. But it is a pain to luxury travelers a lot of times.
Average Cost per Person
The travel to Peru is a lot more exuberant than the cost of living there. The flights can even go up to as high as 1,18,000 rupees. The prices in Peru, however, can be cut down much more due to the cost of hostels and food. The entire trip should go to about a lakh if appropriately planned.
Visa Requirements
The maximum duration of a Visa in Peru is 183 days for tourists. You cannot extend your visa duration once you have reached Peru. The Peru Visa a single-entry Visa. A lot of the regular cases in each country, like no work on tourist Visa, also applies here.
Where to stay?
Lima:
Lima is the embodiment of tides crashing against the cliffs, shrouded by mystery and leaves. You must walk along these cliffs and ride the waves next to the condos alongside Colombian temples. But Lima is the air of sophistication. It gives off the smell of the past and of millennia that dated ages back. There is so much to see in Lima.

Cuzco:
Cuzco or the more commonly known Cusco is a bunch of contradictions mixed together in a bowl and presented to you like a salad. It has all of it. There are cathedrals. Men selling messages. Women wearing tradition on their sleeves. A pet llama. Clothes for alpacas being sold exuberantly. You will walk around in amazement at this place that feels so unreal. It is in Cuzco, the capital of the Inca past, that you get to see all of the heritage at its meeting point. This is also the gateway to Machu Picchu.

Arequipa:
The land of volcanoes, Arequipa shakes the entire world right open. And that too literally. The receiver of so many disastrous earthquakes is also home to a lot of beautiful architecture that can live through this. Mostly.
The city that is the one-third of the capital of Peru is surpassed all sizes with its contribution to the gastronomy of Peru. The food here will have you licking your lips in anticipation. The Arequipa are generally very proud people and debate till the volcanoes finally burst.

Iquitos:
The largest city in the world that cannot be reached by road. Iquitos is the land of pure and unapologetic jungle life. It is the land where bikes on dirt roads chase the Amazonian experience. Where you can be in mud huts and in posh bars and hotels at once. Where you can experience the wild or go down to the Amazon to experience shopping as something completely different. Where life is sheltered and protected and loved.

Huaraz:
Huaraz is the capital of Andean adventure. The attraction here that you will remember for years to come is hiking. It is not the best-looking city in the world, but its beauty is from the inside, and that counts for much more. The number of agencies that sell and rent out equipment and provide guides around the trekking expeditions is not in the count. There is always help in Huaraz if asked for.

Floating Reeds
In the Andes lies the lake of Titicaca which is the largest lake in South America where people have constructed islands out of reeds. This was done initially to escape invaders centuries ago. They require constant rebuilding since the bottoms rot away. But this is a view and feel like never before.
Dune Bugging
The orange lumps of the never-ending buggy are found everywhere in Peru. These spread out in dunes and can be the beginning of a fantastic sport. A small town near Lima has a little desert oasis which is the perfect spot for taking a buggy with your buds and riding the sand dunes.
Ayahuasca Retreat
This brew forms a significant part of the Amazonian culture and gives rise to a series of events and activities. The area got a lot of recognition for eager jungle trekkers. But it is only permitted for healing processes. In fact, there is also a proper process deciding who to allow.
Pink Dolphins
Take the cruise across the Amazon and discover the wonder that now also comes in pink. Dolphins are quite possibly the cutest animals there are, and those that exist in pink are not a myth. You have to cruise these waters to really see it and believe it. There are a lot of sails that range from various prices.
Travel Smart with these tips
The travel culture in Peru is all consuming. They have developed a great deal. But there is one thing they haven’t improved. That is their drinking water. Never drink or brush with their water. Most hotels leave water bottles in the washrooms and rooms but just in case make sure you carry enough bottles with you.
A lot of people will tell you to go to Cusco first. Cusco is at 3000 plus altitude, and Machu Pichu is 2000 plus. Hence it will make travel a lot easier if you go to Machu Pichu first. Also, try to make sure you stay at least a night near Machu Pichu.
Even though travel is an everyday natural being in Peru, there are limited trains to and from Machu Pichu. The air tickets are limited and they get expensive if not booked in advance. Book your tickets when you reach the airport itself. Even your hotel can book the rail for you.
This herbal concoction passed onto generations by the forefathers of Peru. This works miracles for high altitude sickness and can be chewed on. You will be offered this a lot of times but be careful not to drink it at night as it will keep you awake. You can try as much of it as you want to in Peru. But try not getting it back home. It is illegal in the U.S and hence might cause issues in customs.
