With every footstep, you encounter another feast. Another party. It is Spain. Where every day is a fiesta.
Get ready to live your Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara trip with MLMT.
Spain comes to the mind carrying passion and color in its pocket. The color dominates everything about Spain. It is love, it is passion, it is lust. It is everything you want in the love of your life. Spain comes with its engorging landscapes and art that numbs your mind.
Walk on the streets with ruins at every corner, sip on the best hot chocolate (better than ambrosia) and just take in everything this country has to offer. Salsa across Spain and feel the blood in your veins burn down to wine.
When to visit?
Spain is the best in spring (March to May) and in autumn (September to November) This is the time of the cheapest bookings and least crowds. Do Spain without a million people crowding your selfie. There are various festivals along these two seasons as well. All in all, the exact Spain experience you need.
The summers can get to boiling temperature so venturing out to Spain during it, although the festivals are tough.
Average cost per person
For a week-long trip, you can expect something in the range of INR 45000 to 65000* (Depending on the type of stays and food). If you add different experiences, the cost might add up and may also require thorough planning!
Visa Requirements
Spain comes under the Schengen area, and hence there is a different procedure for these countries. All countries which occur in this area have to follow the same Visa process. If employed they must submit their employment contract and the latest bank balance of 6 months. Retired people must also provide their pension certificate of the last 6 months.
Where to stay?
Barcelona:
The sun slowly inches away from you, and there is the inkling of salt water on your body. There is inevitable sand in your pockets. Your eyes have a twinkle in your eyes as you sip a wine cooler with content. This is Barcelona for you. It is the city with all you need. The shore, the never-ending nights and the ruins.
Barcelona boiled the culture of gastronomy right in its center. Fill your hungry stomachs with delicacies from Basque-style tapas bars, Japanese avant-garde restaurants, and Galician seafood parlors.

Madrid:
A lot of cities claim to be as artsy as Madrid is. But they almost always fail. Madrid is a verdant shrine of art, and their eyes sport more enthusiasm than seen in any other city. The royals of Madrid’s past once showered gold with great fervor, and that is very evident in every breath of Madrid.
It has developed itself as one of the few food capitals in all of Europe. One just has to go there to witness the wonder that is gastronomy in Madrid. That is an experience that cannot be sold adequately in words.

Valencia:
Barcelona and Madrid take so much of the spotlight away from Valencia that people fail to notice a place that is one of the best places to live. It once diverted its flood to another area and is now a science fiction city. They have built buildings that look like that they were replicated out of a dystopian novel. Valencia with its quiet beaches and paella served in the most decadent of ways makes for the ideal kind of life.
Best Places to stay in Valencia
Seville:
This isn’t the city that will knock you over with its fast, crazy enthusiastic life. This is the city that will slowly, but surely grab onto your collar and reel you slowly into its charm. It is the cozy corner kept intimate by history and flamenco clubs. It is the city that holds the romance alive. But however silent it may seem these people sure do know how to party. Their festivals attract people to the city like moths to honey.
Best Places to stay in Seville:
Granada
This ancient Moorish city is one of my favorites in Spain. I love wandering the ancient streets in the center and relaxing in the old palace, the Alhambra. No trip to southern Spain is complete without a visit here.
Palma de Mallorca:
This is the city of conquests. One day the Romans spotted this beauty, and since then no one has stopped loving Palma. Medieval streets with broken ends lined with coffee shops serving the best hot chocolate in all of Spain. You can start walking and get lost in this the feeling that it conjures up.

Top Experiences
Flamenco Effect
You are walking on the streets for a romantic walk a little happy on life and wine, and then you run into this. Spain is so full of color and happiness it gets an instant smile on your face. You’re walking around, and you get a beautiful outburst of flamenco, and the clapping and the people cheering on will just show you a whole new way of life.
The Time Travel Zip Line
Ever wanted to go into the past? Here’s your chance. The only place in the world in which you can zoom right past time and go from Spain to Portugal and go back one hour in time. The zip line starts in a small village called Sanlucar de Guadiana in Heluva and across the river Guadiana to reach Portugal. Welcome to the past in a minute.
Celebrate almost dying
Every year the citizens of a small village in a small Galician town of Las Nieves come together on July 29th and celebrate the people who nearly died in the past month. The festival goes about these people lying in coffins to talk about how to reached the edge of the world and came back alive. This also fireworks and music to make it an event filled with positivity. Life should be celebrated.
La Tomatina
If you live on the face of the planet earth, you already know what this is. Go to La Tomatina for your best Zindagi Na Milegi Doobara experience. There are a lot of controversies surrounding this festival. Is there any better use of those thousands of tomatoes than throwing it on each other? But if crowds and messy is your thing, there is nothing better than this for you!
Visit the Sagrada Familia
Try looking for a church with a more complicated history! I dare you! You won’t find it. This place started construction in 1882, and in more than a hundred years this place has seen more complication than most families do. The number of people who have tried to target this place is uncanny. But it is a highly significant building, that’s for sure.
Travel Smart with these tips
Most Spaniards eat very late. Their lunch isn’t till 2pm and dinner average time is about 9pm to 10pm. They don’t even start serving till 8pm. So, one will have to alter their food habits to fit the vibe of Spain. They are fashionably late. There’s romance in the slowness of things.
While Spain might come off as the last friend to arrive at the party, their trains definitely understand punctuality. They zoom around at their fastest speed all around the country. It takes just about 2 hours to reach from Valencia to Madrid. It isn’t too hard on the wallet either.
The best place to get paella is in Andalusia and in regions surrounding Barcelona. Most other sites don’t serve it as much. They have other things like codfish and pintos. Sangria is apparently just a tourist thing. For a more elegant, original experience try Tinto de Verano.
Even though this is a crazy tourist time and there are a lot of families and such who love the weather and go there for that reason, you will find most of Spain missing. A lot of families and business owners run off to their holiday homes and summers and hence a lot of shops will be shut.
