Day 1

On arrival in Nairobi, you will be met and transferred to your hotel by our representative (approximately 45 minutes’ drive). Rest of the day will be at leisure with optional activities available. Dinner will be on own arrangement.

Day 2
Breakfast at the hotel followed by briefing by the guide. Thereafter check out and drive to Amboseli National Park (approximately 5 hours). Time permitting on arrival in Amboseli, there will be an afternoon game drive en route to your lodge. Your accommodation for the next two nights is a comfortable lodge located in the heart of Amboseli National Park with stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro, which looms dramatically on the skyline. The name Amboseli comes from the Maa word for ‘salty, dusty place’, a reference to the salty volcanic ash that spewed from the volcano tens of thousands of years ago. The park is one of the most fascinatingly diverse on the continent, with five distinct habitats – open grasslands, acacia woods, scrub steppe, swamps and marshland.

Day 3
Venture into Amboseli National park for a full day’s game drive. A game drive through Amboseli takes you across this vast lakebed – often dry, but still very swampy in areas. Amboseli is best known for its great herds of elephant – you’ll often find many of them standing knee-deep in the water, spraying themselves to keep cool. But there’s a lot of other game here too – cheetah, buffalo, giraffe, many types of gazelle and other plains game – and it’s all set against the amazing backdrop of majestic Mount Kilimanjaro showing all its glory.

Day 4

Breakfast at the hotel. Thereafter check out and drive along the Great Rift Valley to Nakuru. Arrive in time for lunch at the camp. In the afternoon, there is the opportunity to visit the Menengai Crater, one of the largest craters on earth – a great chance to witness breathtaking views of the Great Rift Valley. Proceed for an afternoon game drive in the park. Your accommodation is a Camp named after the hordes of famous pink flamingo, which grace the shores of the Lake Nakuru National Park.

Day 5
After breakfast at the camp, check out and Head south to your next destination, the Masai Mara (approximately 6–7 hours). Here lies arguably one of the finest game reserves on the continent. Arrive in time for check in then followed by lunch. On today’s game drive on the way to your tented camp, you could have the good fortune to observe a black-maned lion, leopard or a cheetah. These predators find an abundant food supply in the massive herds of wildebeest, zebra, Thomson’s and Grant’s gazelle, all of which roam these verdant grasslands. This is the land of the famed and fated annual migration of wildebeest.

Day 6

An additional night in Mara. Rise a little before dawn to begin your morning game drive. As the sun rises, you shouldn’t have any trouble spotting wildlife, as this is often one of the most active times of the day for animals. After what is hopefully an exciting morning’s drive, you will return to camp for lunch and to relax during the heat of the day. Set off again in the afternoon – this time you can expect to return to camp at around sunset. Depending on wildlife movements, you may not return to camp in the middle of the day, making for one full game drive instead (in this case you will stop for a picnic lunch). Accommodation while in ‘The Mara’ is a comfortable permanent-tented camp. Once you return to the tented camp there is an option to go back out and visit a Masai Village. These visits can be fascinating to learn about the different culture and way of life of traditional Masai people. However, please note that these villages exist primarily as businesses. You will be charged an entry fee of USD20-25 and they will try very hard to sell souvenirs to you. An optional balloon ride over the Masai Mara at sunrise is highly recommended; an unforgettable experience for many travelers.

Day 7
Breakfast at the camp. Thereafter, pick up and transfer to the airstrip for your flight to Serengeti via Tarime.On arrival, pick up and proceed to Serengeti National Park with a game drive
en route to your camp. The wide-open plains of the Serengeti – green after the rains, brown and burnt in the dry season – are home to thousands of hoofed animals and fierce predators. Flat and rolling, with long grass and acacia trees, these plains get their name from the Maasai word Siringet – ‘The place where the land moves on forever’.

Day 8
Early breakfast followed by a game drive at dawn. Head out while the animals are at their most active, for an adventure through the wild. You’ll return in time for dinner.

DAY 9

Enjoy a game drive on your way out of the park today as you head to Ngoro Ngoro. You will explore the world-renowned Ngoro Ngoro Crater, widely regarded as a microcosm of natural habitats in Africa and often touted as a veritable Garden of Eden. The scenery is spectacular as you descend almost 600 meters down to the crater floor. There is every chance you will see a considerable variety of wildlife in this compact area – hopefully you’ll see some or all the ‘big five’ creatures that rule here. You may even catch a glimpse of the highly endangered black rhinoceros. Check in at the lodge with rest of the afternoon at leisure.

Day 10
This morning depart and proceed to explore the world- renowned Ngoro Ngoro Crater, widely regarded as a microcosm of natural habitats in Africa and often touted as a veritable Garden of Eden. Within this crater lies every type of ecosystem, including riverine forests, open plains, freshwater and alkaline lakes. Ngoro Ngoro Crater is the remnants of an ancient volcano caldera, and within its 300 square kilometers is a remarkable concentration of wildlife. The scenery is spectacular as you descend almost 600 meters down to the crater floor. There is every chance that you will see a considerable variety of wildlife in this compact area, including the highly endangered black rhinoceros. Departing the Crater in the afternoon, head for Karatu for an evening relaxing and reliving your safari experience. With red dirt streets, green hills in the distance and plenty of smiling children, Karatu is a small town near the gateway to the Ngoro
Ngoro Crater.

Day 11
After breakfast, check out and with enroute game drive, proceed on to Arusha and on to the airport for your homebound flight depending on the flight timings.
